The Village Stoneman, Inc
Antiqued cast stone products for outdoor living
Greetings from The Village Stoneman:
We have tried to bring something “new” to the garden by recreating the old.
Our collection of timeless hardscape classics is designed to add sophistication and serenity to any garden or landscape. Our six step manufacturing process produces beautiful heirloom quality artifacts that appear to have been out in the elements for centuries. Artisans painstakingly carry out each step of the manufacturing process by hand, crafting a finished product that is closer to art than architectural accent. Each piece is individually hand cast, hand tooled, and hand colored so that no two items are exactly alike: slight variations in crackle and color make each piece as unique as a fingerprint or a snowflake. Our signature verdigris finish is the best in the business. Each piece will continue to age gracefully as your garden matures. And each piece is made of time tested Portland based cement*. We figured if it was good enough for the Romans, it was good enough for us.
It’s not just the look that is old and unique. Most of our collection is reproduced from original works found in the legendary gardens of the old world and the Spanish colonial Americas. We carefully collect these masterpieces by forgotten artisans of a bygone era and meticulously reproduce them in our facility in South Florida (all of our products are made in the USA). Our constant effort in securing “new” old world artifacts insures a seasonal supply of fresh items so that our inventory never gets stale.
Take a look at our catalog and give us a call if you have any questions- or just go ahead and place your order today- our fax operates 24 hours a day**. Delivery typically takes 2-3 weeks for in stock items, 4-6 weeks if items are out of stock.
Thanks again for your interest in The Village Stoneman. We will continue to update you quarterly as we add new items to our collection.
FAQ
Is it old?
No, Our unique production technique just makes it look that way.
What is it made of?
Cement. We use a Portland cement based formula. We offer a standard concrete formula as well as a variation that is 35% lighter than standard concrete. Your choice.
Where does it come from?
We make all of the products ourselves. Most of our collection is reproduced from original works found in the legendary gardens of the old world and the Spanish colonial Americas. We carefully collect these masterpieces by forgotten artisans of a bygone era and meticulously reproduce them in our facility in Florida (all of our products are made in the USA). Our constant effort in securing “new” old world artifacts insures a seasonal supply of fresh items so that our inventory never gets stale.
Is the color permanent?
Yes. Your item will continue to age gracefully in the elements but it will not lose its color.
Is it weather proof?
Our products are weather resistant. We add fiber and other agents to reduce expansion and contraction in extreme climates, and our items do hold up well. However, as with any porous stone outdoor product in “the freeze zone”, our recommendation is that you advise your clientele to take the same winterizing steps they would take with all of their porous garden ware to reduce the effects of freeze and thaw.
